Masters Energy Group recently received the newly appointed Lagos State Coordinator of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Engr. Mrs. Maryros N. Ugwueche, on a familiarization visit to our Masters Water production facility.

The visit provided an opportunity for the SON Lagos team to engage with our operations and gain insight into the processes and quality control measures that drive our water production standards.

During the facility tour, the SON delegation was guided by our Quality Control Head, Mrs. Bridget Edafe, alongside our Plant Head, Mr. Marius Maduike, and members of the Masters Water technical team. The team was taken through key production and quality assurance stages within the plant, demonstrating our commitment to regulatory compliance and industry best practices.

We appreciate the visit by Engr. Mrs. Ugwueche and her team and look forward to continued collaboration with SON in ensuring that our products consistently meet national standards for safety and quality.

Masters Energy Group recently supported the Helping Hand Outreach 2.0, a community-focused initiative organised to provide care, awareness and support for children living with cerebral palsy and their families.

The outreach programme, which held on Saturday, 21st February 2026 at RCCG Beautiful Gate, Maryland, Lagos, brought together healthcare professionals, caregivers, parents and children for a day dedicated to health support, education and social inclusion.

Hammer Guards & Safety Solutions Limited, a proud subsidiary of the Masters Energy Group, has officially commissioned its new office located at 9, Oduyemi Street, Anifowoshe, Ikeja – opposite the Ikeja Local Government Area Secretariat, marking an important milestone in the company’s growth journey.

The commissioning ceremony brought together members of staff, management, partners and invited guests to celebrate a significant step in the company’s continued expansion and operational advancement. The occasion underscored Hammer Guards’ steady progress within the private security and safety services sector, as well as its readiness to respond more effectively to the growing needs of clients and stakeholders.

Purposefully designed to support productivity, efficiency and teamwork, the new office provides a modern and functional workspace tailored to the evolving demands of the business. The facility features well-structured workstations, enhanced operational areas and collaborative spaces created to strengthen internal coordination, improve communication and drive innovation across the organisation.

Speaking at the commissioning, the Board of Directors was represented by Mr. Ugo Nwofor, who noted that the new office signifies more than a physical relocation or expansion. According to him, it represents Hammer Guards’ long-term vision for sustainable growth, its continued investment in people and infrastructure, and its unwavering commitment to delivering dependable, professional and high-quality security solutions to clients and partners.

Also addressing the gathering, DCP Mark Sodo (Rtd.), Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the Masters Energy Group, reaffirmed the strong commitment of the Group’s management to the leadership and operations of Hammer Guards. He assured the company of continued strategic support and guidance, while charging the management and staff of Hammer Guards to deepen their professionalism, strengthen operational discipline and aggressively grow their market presence. He encouraged the team to be more deliberate in expanding their client base and securing a stronger share of the security services market.

He emphasised that Hammer Guards remains a strategic arm of the Group’s security and safety vision, and urged the leadership to leverage the new facility as a platform to raise service standards, enhance competitiveness and build stronger client confidence.

The newly commissioned facility is expected to significantly strengthen internal operations, enhance service delivery and position Hammer Guards to pursue new business opportunities and partnerships within the industry.

In his closing remarks and vote of thanks, the Managing Director of Hammer Guards, Mr. Suberu Avamiku Mohamed, expressed deep appreciation to the Masters Energy Group leadership, the Board, invited guests, partners and members of staff for their support and contributions to the successful commissioning of the new office. This December, our team carried out a special community outreach to two meaningful locations in Lagos: The Mother Theresa Orphanage Home and the Correctional Centre for Girls Lagos.

Our outreach also took us to the Correctional Centre for Girls in Lagos, where we met with young girls on a journey of rehabilitation and growth. We shared words of encouragement, support, and hope, emphasizing that their present circumstances do not define their future.

Through conversations and shared moments, we aimed to inspire confidence, resilience, and the belief that new beginnings are always possible, especially during the season of Christmas.

The President and Founder of Masters Energy Group, Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah, has called for pragmatic reforms, consistent policy implementation, and greater collaboration among stakeholders to drive a sustainable and inclusive energy future for Nigeria.

Dr. Ogah made this call while serving as Chairman of the 2025 NAEC Energy Conference, organized by the Association of Energy Correspondents of Nigeria (NAEC) and held at Eko

Hotel & Suites, Lagos, on Thursday, October 9, 2025. The theme of the conference was

“Nigeria’s Energy Future: Exploring Opportunities and Addressing Risks for Sustainable Growth.”

A Call for Pragmatic and Consistent Reforms

In his opening remarks, Dr. Ogah emphasized that achieving energy stability and economic growth requires more than good intentions — it demands consistency, continuity, and courage in execution.

“Nigeria’s energy future is not a choice between opportunity and risk; it is a challenge to navigate both dynamics together,” he stated. “Our greatest task as a nation is to sustain reforms that balance ambition with action, and innovation with stability.”

He highlighted that while landmark policies such as the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA 2021) and Electricity Act (2023) have created new frameworks for progress, their true impact will depend on effective coordination and policy alignment among government agencies, regulators, and industry players.

Gas as the Bridge Fuel for Industrial Growth

Dr. Ogah reaffirmed Nigeria’s strategic position as a gas-rich nation, describing natural gas as

“the bridge between today’s hydrocarbons and tomorrow’s clean energy.”

 He urged both public and private sectors to accelerate investments in gas infrastructure, power generation, and industrial utilization, stressing that “optimizing our hydrocarbon assets today is what gives us the strength to build a renewable future tomorrow.”

He also reiterated Masters Energy Group’s commitment to developing midstream and downstream gas assets through its LPG storage and distribution facilities, Masters Gas, and Masters Energy Oil & Gas retail operations.

Championing Innovation and Local Capacity

Speaking further, the Masters Energy Founder challenged Nigeria to become a creator, not just a consumer, of clean and renewable technologies. He identified solar manufacturing, mini-grid development, biofuels, and hydrogen as strategic frontiers that could transform Nigeria’s energy landscape if driven by local innovation and strong policy support.

“We must build capacity to design and produce the solutions we use,” he said. “True energy independence will not come from importation, but from innovation — from the creative power of our own people.”

He also proposed the establishment of a National Energy Transition Academy to equip young professionals and technical experts with the skills required for the evolving energy ecosystem.

Dr. Ogah concluded his address with a passionate call for unity and shared responsibility across the energy value chain.

“Nigeria’s energy transformation cannot be driven by government alone. It requires the partnership of the private sector, academia, investors, and the media,” he noted.

 “By optimizing today’s opportunities and preparing for tomorrow’s realities, we can fuel a future that truly works for every Nigerian.”

The event brought together leading figures in Nigeria’s energy industry, including the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri; Minister of State for Gas, Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo; Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu; and chief executives of the NUPRC, NMDPRA, NNPCL, and other private sector stakeholders.

As a testament to our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), our team at Masters Energy Group recently organized a heartfelt outreach to a few facilities that cater to the less privileged. One of the facilities we visited was the Triple Passion Home, a facility dedicated to caring for orphans and special-needs children. Our mission was simple yet profound: to create beautiful memories and joy for these remarkable children. The smiles and warmth we encountered during this experience were truly indescribable, it was a magical journey that touched our hearts.

In the spirit of our annual philanthropic endeavors, we distributed not just essential items but carefully curated including Masters Instant Noodles, tissue, cooking oil, biscuits, and an array of food items such as rice, tubers of yam, and more. Witnessing the joyous expressions on the children’s faces was a clear reflection of the success of our initiative.
